Ricard’s forehand is a strong weapon and quite typical of a clay-courter. However, as with his backhand, Ricard has some flaws which require some attention. The preparation phase is good but coming into the contact zone his elbow is tucked in resulting in an inability to hit through the ball. This flaw is currently being worked on.
