Annual Program
We have space for a limited number of players who train with us on an annual basis (12 months of the year). Services we provide to players in the Annual Training program include:
- Training tailored individually to the player
- Periodised training plans developed by our staff
- Tournament schedules prepared by our staff
- Coach accompanies player to tournaments
- Annual fitness training plan individually designed for you
- Small number of players ensures total attention
We believe in training the person rather than teaching a system. Our staff expect dedication, proper attitude and good parental support for someone looking to join our Annual Training program.
To find out more about full-time training at the STA, contact us today, or see some common questions and answers below:
How many players are in the STA Annual Program?
We accept only a very small number of full-time players. We limit the number so we can concentrate our efforts and attention on each player in the program.
How to get accepted into the STA Annual Program?
You must either attend a short Weekly Program, or we can accept a player for a day’s training (with prior arrangement). This enables us to see you play and train, and of course for you to decide if the STA is right for you.
What does “Annual” mean?
Full-time training is offered on a limited basis to players for 12 months a year. The year runs from September to August of the following year.
How much does the Annual Program cost?
You may contact us for this information.
Do you have a player residence?
We can arrange for a player to stay with a local family. Most of our Annual Program students reside with one of several families.
What about Academics?
Yes, we can arrange Academic tuition in addition to tennis training.
Do STA coaches travel with players?
Yes we do. There are hundreds of events in the Barcelona area each year, making Barcelona the best place to be located for tennis in Europe.
How much do you charge to travel with players?
The costs are shared equally amongst the players travelling. We prefer to travel in small groups to lower costs for our players.
What is the minimum age/standard you accept?
We accept players normally from the age of 11, but can accept younger players IF they are already good players, and are living with their parents locally. We ONLY accept competition players into the Annual Program. If in doubt, you may contact us
